Trustee Training Introduction

The Trustee Training Course builds on the Introduction to Private Trust by exploring the responsibilities, ethics, and foundational principles of trusteeship. Led by Shana Faye,  trustee with Sovereign By Design, the course emphasizes the importance of integrity, understanding trust documents, and managing trust assets responsibly to benefit current and future beneficiaries. Drawing on historical insights, such as The Trustee's Handbook by Loring (1898), participants will learn about the evolution of trust practices, the voluntary nature of the trustee role, and the significance of fiduciary care. Practical advice includes maintaining a dedicated notebook, referring to trust indentures, and approaching the material with a focus on ethical management and legal compliance.
